Walter Dawson
Executive Chairman
Mr. Dawson has over 40 years of experience building oilfield service companies and delivering superior shareholder returns. Before founding Tuscany International Drilling in late 2008, he was the founder and a director of Saxon Energy Services Inc., an international oilfield services company that was sold in August 2008 for US$700 million. Before his time at Saxon, Mr. Dawson served for 19 years as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director and founded what became known as Computalog Gearhart Ltd., which is now an operating division of Precision Drilling Trust. In 1993, Mr. Dawson founded what became known as Enserco Energy Services Company Inc., formerly Bonus Resource Services Corp. Mr. Dawson is currently Chairman and a director of VGS Seismic Canada Inc., and a director of Suroco Energy Inc., Action Energy Inc. (formerly High Plains Energy Inc.) and Gran Tierra Energy, Incorporated, all of which are publicly traded companies. Mr. Dawson is the sole owner and President of Perfco Investments, Ltd., an investment company.
Reginald Greenslade
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Reginald Greenslade is a Professional Engineer and the former Chairman, President and CEO of Big Horn Resources Ltd., Enterra Energy Corp. and Chairman of Enterra Energy Trust until March, 2006. He was President and CEO of Enterra Energy Trust from January to June of 2005 and was the President and CEO of JED Oil Inc. from November, 2003 to January, 2005. During his time as President and CEO of JED Oil Inc., the market capitalization of the Company increased from approximately US$50 million to over US$170 million and the share price increased from under US$4.00 per share to over US$12.00 per share. During Mr. Greenslade’s tenure as President and CEO at Enterra, the market capitalization grew from under US$2.0 million to surpass the US$1.0 billion mark. Enterra’s share price rose steadily from under US$2.00 per share to approximately US$60.00 per share on a pre-split basis. A two for one stock split was completed during this time. Mr. Greenslade is a founder and a director of Spartan Exploration Ltd., (TSX: SPE), a junior oil and gas exploration and production company focused on light and medium oil opportunities in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Eastend Energy Corp., an oil and natural gas company focused in Southwest Saskatchewan, and Athlete Equity Partners, a financial equity partnership. Mr. Greenslade also serves on the Board of Directors of Maverick Business Solutions, an integrated oil and gas service company, and Andora Energy Corporation, an oilsands company.
Matt Moorman
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Moorman is a professional accountant with over 25 years’ experience in corporate and financial management. Most recently, Mr. Moorman was with Provident Energy Ltd. where he acted as Vice President Finance and Treasurer since 2003. Prior thereto, he acted as a member of the senior management team with TransAlta Corporation and TransAlta Power Income Trust, serving in senior financial and commercial positions from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Moorman received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and has a CMA designation from the Certified Management Accountants Association of Ontario/Alberta.
Kiel Clark
President South America
Mr. Clark is a US military veteran with over 30 years’ experience in the drilling industry. Mr. Clark began his oilfield career in 1977 working with Parker Drilling in West Texas. Mr. Clark spent a total of 11 years with Parker, reaching the position of Drilling Superintendent, Asia Division. Thereafter, Mr. Clark spent five years with H&P in Colombia, also in the position of Drilling Superintendent. From 1994 to 2006, Mr. Clark worked for Nabors Drilling International, filling the roles of Operations Manager, General Manager, and Vice President – South America. Overall, Mr. Clark has worked in over 25 countries worldwide, including over 10 years in South America. Mr. Clark’s experience has made him a knowledgeable professional in the drilling industry, specializing in new area start-ups and general management of drilling company business units.
Patrick Gares
President Africa
Patrick Gares has 37 years’ experience in the onshore and offshore drilling industry. He started his career with Forasol / Foramer as a Drilling Manager in various countries. He joined Maurel & Prom in 2002 to explore and develop the M’Boundi field in the Congo which had a major oil discovery. In 2007 he became the CEO of Caroil SAS, the drilling subsidiary of Maurel & Prom.
Andy Lozano
Vice President Business Development
Mr. Lozano holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and has almost 20 years’ experience in the drilling and geophysical services industries. Mr. Lozano began his career in 1994 with Nabors Drilling, and spent several years overseas in area management positions in Venezuela, Yemen, and in Argentina. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Lozano served as VP Business Development for Nabors Drilling International, responsible for all international commercial and contractual activities of the company which comprised of over fifty active land drilling and workover rigs and twenty offshore drilling and workover rigs in twenty-two countries worldwide. Mr. Lozano next spent 6 years promoting new geophysical service technologies in roles ranging from VP Business Development to Regional President – Asia Pacific. Mr. Lozano specializes in business optimization, contract negotiation and dispute resolution, and is responsible for enhancing current business operations and vetting future opportunities.
